Saab 900 Sedan Rear Lamp Cluster Ground Problem

Problem: 900 Sedan Rear Lamp Cluster Ground Problem.

Symptom: Turn signal flashes all rear lights dimly, or applying brakes causes all rear lamps to glow.

The Repair

The diagram below is the left rear lamp cluster for the 900 sedan. Only part of the circuit is shown for the repair. At point "A", drill a small 1/8" hole through the plastic to allow a new ground wire into the cluster. Attach the wire at point "B" with a small self tapping screw. Route the wire through the newly drilled hole and the attach the other end of the wire to any good ground point on the car frame.

Repeat the operation on the right rear lamp cluster.
