Frequently Asked Questions
1. What does the Factory Warranty cover?
The factory warranty covers breakage on most everything bumper-to-bumper for four years from the in-service date or 50,000 total miles. The factory warranty work must be completed at an authorized Saab dealership. As an independent dealer, we can’t do the factory authorized work because Saab won’t pay us for it. After your Saab has run out of factory warranty we can do all the work and service at our shop.
2. What is a service contract? What does it cover?
Read the Service Contracts NINES article that Chuck Andrews, contributing editor of Nines Magazine, wrote about this subject
3. Are all of the pre-owned Saabs and Subarus at Andrews Inc. serviced?
Yes. All of our “for sale” vehicles are serviced! We have two levels of service which depends on miles and age: Certified & Quality Checked.
4. What does Andrews Certified mean.
The car must be 5 years old or newer and has been serviced to the certified level. It is covered by a Quality Plus Certified Cool warranty for 24 months or 24,000 miles. View this link to the Certified Service document and description.
5. What does Andrews Quality Checked mean?
All cars that are more than 5 years old or more than 60,000 miles will be in this category. These cars will be serviced up to the Quality Checked level and carry a Quality Plus Certified Power warranty for 12 months or 12,000 miles. If the car is older than 1993 or has more than 125,000 miles, the warranty will be a limited 30-day or 1000 mile. All of our pre-owned Cars will have at least the Quality Checked Service which is very comprehensive. Follow this link for more information!
6. Who services the cars at Andrews?
Andrews has a 20-bay service shop staffed with ASE certified technicians who work only on Saabs ans Subarus and are experts in their field.
7. What does Carfax Certified mean?
Carfax is an independent company that researches car records. Andrews Inc. pays a fee to have the history of the pre-owned cars on our Used Car Lot checked and documented. Carfax attempts to find out if the car has had collision damage, flood damage, or if it has a salvage title, etc. This report is placed in the car “ready” for your inspection when you take a test drive. Our goal is for you to have no surprises when you purchase a car from Andrews. (More Carfax information)
8. What is a Carfax Buy-Back Warranty?
When a car is certified by Carfax they will guarantee their research by adding a promise to buy back the car from you if they have overlooked a covered item. (More Carfax information)
9. How do I upgrade to a better service contract?
All cars 1994 or newer with less than 125,000 miles come with a service contract. You may trade that contract (value) in on a more comprehensive contract and pay the difference in price at the time of sale. See the description of the service contract at this link.
10. Do many people purchase service contracts?
Yes! It varies but about 96-98% purchase upgrades.
11. What value does the included Service contract have?
The contract has a monetary value of between $500-$1000. Because it is included in the price, you can trade that value in toward a more comprehensive contract. Service contracts provide security in driving a pre-owned car.
12. Who takes care of the dents?
You will notice that most of the cars at Andrews do not have door dings or parking lot dents. Andrews Inc. hires Dent Wizard to remove the dents on all of our newer cars. We are proud of our cars and Dent Wizard technicians contribute to these clean, sharp units. These professionals remove the dents without damaging the paint. No paint, no mess, no fuss. “PDR” is paintless dent repair by Dent Wizard.
13. Can we get the minor dents out of our car with Dent Wizard?
Yes! You can call our service department for an appointment. They will be happy to schedule your car.
14. Why do we have no-haggle prices?
Andrews Inc. believes that a set, fair price makes buying a car a much more enjoyable experience. We do not pad or inflate our prices so that the trade-in prices can be manipulated to look like you’re receiving more for your trade than you really are. We prefer honest dealing and “No number games!”
15. What is my trade-in worth?
Regardless of the brand of car that you would like to trade, Andrews Inc. first evaluates its condition. Then, we compare trade-in values from the NADA Price Guide, Kelly Blue Book Price Guide and current Auto Auction results. With this information, we can decide upon a fair trade-in value.
16. How can I decide for myself what my car is worth?
Go to Kelly Blue Book on the web (www.kbb.com) and follow the directions to find a value for your particular car. Be realistic in deciding and stipulating what the real condition of your car is.
